After three days of final talks, EU negotiators have agreed on new copyright rules, and the outcome is disappointing. The agreement comes after a two-year battle with in the EU. The controversial version of Article 13 will force online platforms to remove copyright-protected content, in an effort to protect rights-holders and their revenues. Liberties campaigned against this solution, with almost 50,000 people joining us in warning that it would create an online censorship machine. The final vote will be held either during the March 25-28 or April 15-18 sessions of the European Parliament.
