A 55-year-old Italian man has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison for cultivating five marijuana plants to use to help treat his epilepsy. His neurologist had supported the decision to use therapeutic marijuana, which is reflected in the length of the prison sentence. The man said that the marijuana allowed him to live a normal life for the first time since he started having problems with epilepsy.
