On October 1, 2015, the Dutch ombudsman for children, Marc Dullaert, will become the chairman of the European Network of Ombudsmen for Children (ENOC). This has been unanimously decided by the 42 ombudsmen for children from 32 countries, during ENOC's annual conference in Edinburgh. ''Especially considering the fact that the EU wants to set in motion its ambitious structural reforms towards 2020, this chairmanship offers a good opportunity to continuously put the rights of children in the spotlight,'' commented Mr. Dullaert on his appointment.
