People who are the victims of sexting, revenge porn and hidden cameras should get better protection under the law and expedited legal proceedings should be introduced to remove footage from websites, according to VVD parliamentarian Sven Koopmans. He is planning to bring in draft legislation to regulate both protection for victims and to streamline procedures to have footage removed from the internet as quickly as possible. In addition, Koopmans wants to make it easier to start legal proceedings against people who place illegally-obtained footage online.
