The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights has ruled that employment agency Flexstar Plus has discriminated based on nationality. In a vacancy for hotel room cleaners, the agency mentioned it was looking for candidates with Dutch nationality. The Institute finds that this requirement discriminates against people without Dutch nationality. According to the Equal Treatment Act, there can be no distinction based on nationality in job recruitment, except when there is a legal exception. The employment agency did not want to elaborate on the job requirement.
