Representatives from Stop Wapenhandel, Women for Peace, and Peace SOS have called on the Dutch defense industry to stop all business with states and companies that violate human rights. The reason for the call was last month's arms fair, Maritime/Air Systems and Technologies (organized under supervision of the Royal Netherlands Navy), which took place in Amsterdam. The activists state that among those invited were delegations from states that systematically violate human rights. The Dutch government should at least comply with the criteria of the EU arms export policy.
