Not all assistance dogs can get a free ticket for train travel in Poland. Discounts are available for the visually impaired who own an assistance dog, but not people with hearing impairment or physical disability. An owner of a sight service dog pays only five percent of the regular ticket price. There is no objective justification for such discrepancy. In the light of the Polish Constitution, citizens in similar situations should be treated in the same manner, and all kinds of assistance dogs enable the disabled to actively participate in social life.
