At first glance, 'My Rainbow Family' looks like any other children's book. But this impression changes almost as soon as you meet the characters: one little girl has two fathers, and a young boy has two mothers. It is the first time that a children's book in Croatia has depicted same-sex parents families with same-sex parents, and the book is a direct challenge to the conservative Church-backed organisations that have so much power in the country's politics.
