A new package of legislative reforms in Bulgaria focuses on children's court hearings, interrogations of victims of violent crime, the introduction of restorative justice and mediation in criminal proceedings, as well as ways to empower crime victims and expand their rights. Among the changes is the introduction of so-called "blue rooms," which will be used to conduct private, recorded interrogations of juvenile witnesses and victims of violent crime. The Ministry of Justice published the package of legislative changes on its website on February 10.
