Two associations, ASBL Inclusion and FIDH, have submitted a collective complaint to the European Committee on Social Rights against Belgium in order to force the country to comply with the requirements of the revised Social Charter that it ratified in 2004. The associations believe that Belgium is not making enough effort to foster inclusive education for children with intellectual disabilities. Having their kids integrated and getting the necessary support periods that integration involves currently is a real uphill battle for parents.
