"Good Practices" is the name of the prize awarded to Atletico Diritti for its commitment to the cause of integration. "Good Practices" is also a motto of the project "Sport and Integration" created by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). The aim of the prize is to give value and award those small and unknown sport realities, which work for integration through sport.

"The end of our sport club is exactly integration. We gave life to it exactly for this reason," said Carolina Antonucci, manager of Atletico Diritti, at the award ceremony.

A special team

Atletico Diritti was founded in 2014 by the associations Progetto Diritti and Antigone. The club has the support of Università Roma Tre and it comprises a football team and a cricket team. The players are the ones who make club special: they are a mix of detainees, former detainees, students of the Università Roma Tre and migrants.

Atletico Diritti's integration

At the award ceremony, Antonucci explained:

"Ours is an integration that runs on two different tracks. Ours is not just an integration for migrant young adults, who come from abroad and that are trying through sport to integrate themselves in the society, to know our culture and language. Ours is also a message addressed to Italian young adults; in fact, we involved university students. Through sport they come in contact with complicated and tragic life experiences and understand the difficulties through which their teammates came across to reach our country."

Among those who attended the award ceremony were Giovanni Malagò, president of CONI, Tatiana Esposito, general director of immigration and integration policies of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Alberto Miglietta, managing director of Coni Servizi, Diana Bianchedi, member of the scientific committee of the project, and Adele Menniti, research director of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Giuliano Poletti, the Italian minister of labor and social policies, sent his greetings.
