The Lithuanian Parliament came to its senses at the very last moment and rejected the so-called "Putin Law." The legislative proposal sought to introduce administrative liability and fines ranging from 289 to 1,737 euros for public contempt of family values. According to its initiators, the law should also limit LGBT self-expression. However, most MPs refused to even vote on the proposal and removed the item from the agenda.
