A senior Amsterdam police officer has been fired for alleged expenses fraud and leaking confidential information. An internal
investigation apparently revealed that for years his family dined on
police expenses, while from 2009 to 2015, he used public cash to buy
hundreds of tickets for football matches, concerts and events. He also reportedly used police systems for private purposes and passed on confidential information. Public prosecutors are investigating the allegations.
