According to the Eurobarometer survey results published at the end of March, three out of five respondents in Europe believed that gender inequality was prevalent in their country. The largest proportion of such respondents lived in France (79%), Spain (76%) and Sweden (72%). Forty-nine percent of respondents in Lithuania thought gender inequality was prevalent in their country. According to Lithuanians, the three social niches most riddled with gender stereotypes were the professional environment, the media and politics.
