"Run with Stefano" is the slogan of the marathon that will take place on Sunday, October 2, to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the death of Stefano Cucchi. Friends and activists – including NGOs A Buon Diritto, Antigone, Cittadinanzattiva and Progetto Diritti – will meet in the Parco degli Acquedotti to ask for truth and justice for Stefano as well as the long-awaited introduction of the crime of torture in Italian law. This is an important occasion to remember the drama of people dying in detention and reflect upon the importance of criminalizing and persecuting torture.
