The report on Commissioner for Human Rights Nils Muižnieks's trip to Belgium, from September 14-18, 2015, as been released to the public. It paints a critical picture of the respect of the human rights of migrants, asylum seekers, and Roma and Travellers in Belgium. Concerning disabled persons, the conclusions are scathing: "Belgium is failing to uphold the rights of persons with disabilities to live independently and be included in the community. Planned measures to improve the situation should be implemented as a matter of priority."
