Prior to the International Day against Drug Abuse (June 26), Vice published an article on the life of heroin addicts in Romania. These people are marginalized by society, rejected by families, ignored by medical staff and often abused by the police. In addition, the number of people infected with HIV due to injection drug use increased by 25% between 2005-2012.
