The NJCM and Defence for Children have started legal procedures against the Dutch State and two water companies to ensure the protection of the right to water for children. The current regulations allow companies to stop water supplies when parents fail to pay their bills. This violation of children and human rights is made possible by the State. The procedure aims to prohibit companies from cutting water supplies for households with children. Read more here.
