The gender pay gap is persistent in the
Netherlands and other European countries. The European Parliament has demanded an
ambitious strategy from the European Commission with binding regulations for
member states to combat this issue. The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights
supports this initiative by the European Parliament and has sent a letter
to the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
