Lithuanian MP Cleared of Sexually Harassing Female Applicants

In 2018, former Lithuanian MP K. Pūkas was accused of improperly possessing weapons and sexually harassing women who applied to work as his assistant. The women claimed that during their job interviews Pūkas made suggestive remarks and improper offers and that he humiliated and insulted them for the purpose of sexual gratification. However, the Vilnius Regional Court cleared him of the charges, stating that although the defendant insulted the honour and dignity of the victims, he did not violate their sexual freedom.
