The Lithuanian Parliament rejected amendments to the Constitution granting individuals the right to petition the Constitutional Court. The amendment sought to widen the list of petitioners able to appeal to the Court directly, bestowing this right upon citizens and ombudspersons. The MPs that voted against the amendment claimed that they didn’t want to enable "further Constitutional activism."
