The Success of Italy's Humanitarian Corridors

Italian civil society associations have joined forces and raised private funds to open safe humanitarian corridors and local programs to welcome refugees fleeing war. As a huge issue is the highly hazardous trip overseas, the program permits refugees to arrive by plane. It has already helped 938 people arrive safely in Italy, helped them find a place to live, put in place Italian language lessons to accelerate integration, and participate to their efforts to find jobs. It's an initiative that hopefully will inspire other countries.
