An analysis of newspaper and online news by the NESEHNUTÍ NGO shows that the representation of women in print and electronic media is four times smaller than that of men. Women occurred as news subjects in only 21 percent of cases. Equal representation of women and men is found only in the spokesperson positions. Women appeared in news content as experts in just 13 percent of cases. On this issue, the Czech Republic lags behind the world average.
