La Lituania è arrivata a vietare la propaganda di guerra e la disinformazione. Per la prima volta nella storia dell'UE, la Commissione Radiotelevisiva Lituana (RTCL) ha vietato la diffusione di un programma televisivo prodotto da RTR Planeta, un canale russo. Il Parlamento Lituano inoltre discuterà a breve la proposta del presidente di attribuire una responsabilità alle emittenti per incitamento all'odio. Le modifiche includono una procedura di conformità alla sicurezza nazionale, la protezione dell'interesse pubblico in tribunale, oltre che doveri e responsabilità più ampi all'RTCL.
