L'UE ha avviato un'azione legale contro l'Ungheria per le modifiche alla legge sull'istruzione che costringe la Central European University (CEU) a chiudere. Il Primo Ministro Viktor Orbán ha risposto ieri, 26 aprile, al Parlamento Europeo, difendendo le azioni del governo e definendo il miliardario ungherese Soros, fondatore della CEU, "uno speculatore finanziario americano". Ma il vice-presidente della Commissione UE, Valdis Dombrovskis, ha dichiarato che la legge viola la libertà accademica e che l'UE invierà una lettera formale per notificare al governo ungherese le violazioni di legge.
