Lunedì l'UE ha approvato formalmente nuove regole che impongono alla polizia di frontiera di registrare l'ingresso, l'uscita e il rifiuto di fornire informazioni sull'ingresso ai cittadini extra-UE ai confini esterni dell'area Schengen. Il piano, denominato 'sistema di ingresso-uscita', mira ad allontanare le persone che abusano dei loro visti e a migliorare la lotta al terrorismo. Il nuovo sistema sarà messo in atto completamente entro il 2020.
