La Slovenia ha introdotto nuove restrizioni alle frontiere per i migranti, autorizzando ad entrare soltanto chi vuole fare domanda di asilo nel paese o chi ha evidenti bisogni umanitari. La scelta fa parte degli sforzi per fermare il flusso dii migranti sulla rotta balcanica, che martedì il Primo Ministro sloveno Miro Cerar ha dichiarato essere "in fase di arresto." UE e Turchia sono in fase di difficili negoziazioni sul piano che prevede il ritorno in Turchia di tutti i migranti arrivati in Grecia. Associazioni per i diritti umani e ONU hanno espresso preoccupazione per questa possibilità.
