Rights International Spain ha presentato un rapporto al Comitato contro la Tortura delle Nazioni Unite, in modo che possa tenerne conto nella sua visita allo stato spagnolo alla fine del mese. Tra le altre questioni, l'organizzazione denuncia la mancata revisione del codice penale e di procedura penale spagnolo alla Convenzione contro la Tortura (manifestata, per esempio, dall'esistenza delle "incommunicado detentions"), delle irregolarità commesse nelle zone di confine (specialmente nei territori di Ceuta e Melilla) e dell'impunità di molti poliziotti nei casi di tortura.
