Il governo britannico sta violando la legge raccogliendo in maniera indiscriminata i dati sulle attività in rete e le telefonate dei cittadini e dando accesso a centinaia di organismi pubblici senza che ci siano sospetti di reato e senza alcun controllo indipendente. I giudici della Corte di Giustizia Europea hanno dichiarato illegale la Legge sulla Conservazione dei Dati e Poteri Investigativi (DRIPA). Anche se il DRIPA scadrà il 31 dicembre, il governo non ha ancora approvato una nuova legge. Per la sentenza parti della legge sono illegali e il governo deve modificarle con urgenza.
