Domenica si è tenuto in Ungheria il referendum sulle quote obbligatorie di migranti. Nonostante la bassa affluenza (43%, contro il 50% richiesto per la validità) il Primo Ministro Orbán ha cantato vittoria perché il 98% di chi è andato votare si è detto contrario alle quote. Quello che le comunicazioni ufficiali non rivelano è lo sdegno pubblico verso la campagna xenofobica. Molti partiti, organizzazioni e figure pubbliche hanno chiesto di schierarsi contro il populismo non andando a votare. Il controverso piano UE di ricollocare 160,000 migranti obbligherebbe l'Ungheria ad accoglierne 1,294.
