Il ministro polacco degli Affari Esteri ha deciso di rimuovere Hanna Machińska dal suo ruolo di Capo dell'Ufficio di Varsavia del Consiglio d'Europa, che ha occupato fin dalla sua istituzione, nel 1991, dopo l'ingresso della Polonia nel Consiglio d'Europa. Il successore della Machińska sarà Paweł Wierdak, ex vice-direttore del Dipartimento delle Nazioni Unite e dei Diritti Umani presso il Ministero degli Affari Esteri.
