In caso di divorzio conflittuale, i bambini dovrebbero essere affiancati da un avvocato in aula, secondo il Partito Cristiano CDA, per il quale i genitori in conflitto spesso dimenticano gli interessi dei figli. Nel 20% dei 70,000 divorzi avvenuti tra il 2013 e il 2014, i genitori sono stati così presi da accese discussioni che raggiungere un accordo non è stato possibile. "Un divorzio conflittuale è una forma di violenza sul bambino," secondo la Parlamentare Mona Keijzer (CDA). I bambini ne rimangono feriti, sia emotivamente che psicologicamente. Il CDA spera nel sostegno in Parlamento.
