Il 18 gennaio il membro del Parlamento Lituano Algridas Patackas ha pubblicamente avvisato il presidente della Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) che la sua organizzazione sta "giocando col fuoco" e che le sue attività potrebbero "determinare una reazione odiosa, malvagia e totalmente inaccettabile," analoga a "quanto accaduto a Parigi." Il parlamentare ha dichiarato questo in risposta al consiglio ironico del leader di LGL di conservare dieci banconote di litas come souvenir di LGBT*.
LGL ha chiesto alla polizia di indagare sulla presunta o reale minaccia alla sicurezza dell'organizzazione.
