L'Helsinki Foundation for Humand Rights è intervenuta sul caso di Daniel, che da anni soffre di schizofrenia paranoide e che è stato condannato a 9 mesi di carcere per aver tentato di falsificare un documento. Non appena è entrato in carcere è stato subito collocato in una cella per detenuti pericolosi. Al momento si trova in una cella singola, in cui trascorre 23 ore al giorno. Le autorità penitenziarie non gli consentono di lavorare e non gli offrono alcuna terapia. Inoltre, Daniel ha detto ad HFHR di non aver accesso a tutte le medicine che gli sono state prescritte in ospedale.
