In una lettera che, su richiesta del Parlamento, d'ora in poi sarà consegnata ai richiedenti asilo al momento del loro arrivo, il Segretario di Stato Dijkhoff spiega la situazione dei centri di accoglienza: si dorme in palestre o tende, le attese per le richieste di asilo sono lunghe e, per ora, nessuna possibilità di ricongiungimento familiare. Oltre a questo, i richiedenti asilo riceveranno una traduzione della Costituzione Olandese "per informarli delle regole fondamentali della nostra società."
