La Rete Europea contro il Razzismo ha invitato il Ministro degli Interni della Repubblica di Lituania e il Capo della Polizia a scusarsi ufficialmente con la comunità islamica lituana. Durante una cena tradizionale organizzata dalla comunità islamica il 12 luglio, la polizia ha deciso di controllare i documenti d'identità di tutti i partecipanti. La rete ha denunciato tale azione come profiling razziale. Secondo il Centro Studi e Ricerche sulle Nuove Religioni, musulmani e testimoni di Geova sono i gruppi religiosi più discriminati in Lituania.
