L'esercito italiano coltiverà marijuana per scopi medici nello stabilimento chimico militare di Firenze. Dopo controversie e ritardi, i ministeri di difesa e salute sono giunti ad un accordo che sarà reso pubblico in ottobre. Lo stabilimento di Firenze, creato per produrre medicinali per le forze armate, ha esteso la sua attività al settore civile. Ora preparerà medicinali derivati dalla cannabis per essere usati in chemioterapia e nel trattamento di AIDS, neuropatia, sclerosi multipla, SLA e glaucoma. La marijuana cresciuta nello stabilimento di Firenze potrà essere venduta da aprile 2015.
