L'osservatorio indipendente sui media Carta di Roma ha denunciato gli eccessi dei quotidiani italiani - vale a dire, uso inappropriato, generalizzante e razzista del linguaggio - a seguito degli attacchi terroristici di Bruxelles. Libero e il Giornale hanno pubblicato titoli aggressivi come "Se questi non sono bastardi" e "Cacciamo l'Islam da casa nostra". Questi commenti offensivi violano il codice etico del giornalismo e, soprattutto, promuovono discorsi di odio nella società. I recenti tragici attacchi non devono in alcun modo indurci ad associazioni sbagliate e pericolose scorciatoie.
