Le norme etiche e sulla trasparenza che disciplinano le attività dei commissari UE durante e dopo la fine del loro mandato saranno rafforzate - lo ha annunciato ieri la Commissione Europea. Viene introdotto un Codice di Condotta per i Commissari più dettagliato e saranno pubblicati i pareri del Comitato Etico Indipendente sui lavori successivi al mandato dei commissari. L'Ombudsman europeo, Emily O'Reilly, approva il piano di "estendere il periodo in cui gli ex-commissari e presidenti devono informare la Commissione dei nuovi ruoli assunti e di stringere le norme sul conflitto di interesse".
