In un ricorso, la corte dell'Aia ha deciso che il fornitore olandese di Saddam Hussein di gas iprite dovrà risarcire molti cittadini iracheni e iraniani. Nel 1987 e nel 1988 questi individui sono stati vittime di attacchi con gas iprite sotto il regime di Saddam. Secondo il tribunale, l'uomo è colpevole di aver fornito al regime il TDG, un'importante materia prima per la produzione di gas iprite, nonostante sapesse a cosa sarebbe servita. L'imprenditore era già stato condannato a 16 anni e mezzo di carcere dalla corte di appello.
