Svezia e Danimarca sono i primi paesi UE per la parità di genere, mentre Grecia e Ungheria sono al fondo della lista, secondo l'ultimo rapporto dell'Istituto Europeo per la Parità di Genere, agenzia UE. Gli stati sono classificati in base a un indice da 1 a 100 per lavoro, soldi, conoscenza, tempo, potere e salute tra il 2005 e il 2015. La media europea è del 66.2%, lieve incremento (di 4.2 punti) rispetto al 2005. I punteggi sono aumentati nella maggior parte dei paesi, tranne che in Repubblica Ceca, Lituania, Finlandia, Slovacchia e Regno Unito, dove i progressi sono stati scarsi o nulli.
