A pochi giorni dalla chiusura dell'ultimo ospedale psichiatrico giudiziario, StopOPG si oppone alla proposta di riaprirli. Il nuovo disegno di legge, approvato dal Senato, prevede "Modifiche al codice penale e al codice di procedura penale per il rafforzamento delle garanzie difensive e la durata ragionevole dei processi nonché all'ordinamento penitenziario per l'effettività rieducativa della pena”. In poche parole, la riapertura degli OPG con un nuovo nome. Per questo StopOPG ha lanciato una petizione online.
