Mercoledì il Parlamento Europeo ha votato a favore del cosiddetto sistema di ingresso/uscita per verificare l'identità delle persone attraverso l'incrocio di vari database. Il sistema intende registrare tutti i viaggiatori extra-UE in tutta l'area Schengen e chi lo ha proposto sostiene che questo aiuterebbe a individuare i terroristi che usano documenti falsi. I critici al sistema di ingresso/uscita sostengono che provocherebbe la raccolta illegale di masse di dati e espulsioni. L'avvio del sistema è previsto dal 2020.
