La Danimarca potrebbe sfidare la Commissione Europea sui controlli alle frontiere se necessario, lo ha dichiarato martedì al Parlamento il Primo Ministro Lars Loekke Rasmussen. La dichiarazione apre un nuovo fronte di ribellione di alcuni stati membri verso le politiche migratorie. Il 2 maggio la Commissione aveva dichiarato che Austria, Danimarca, Germania, Norvegia e Svezia - tutti membri di Schengen - potranno estendere i controlli alle frontiere per non più di 6 mesi. Per Rasmussen il numero di persone che dall'Africa arrivano in Europa è "troppo, troppo alto" per riaprire i confini.
