Berlino ha chiesto alla Commissione Europea di ritirare la proposta di un'agenzia sulla sicurezza informatica nell'UE più forte. Intervenendo alla conferenza Cybersec a Cracovia il 10 ottobre un portavoce del governo tedesco ha detto che gli stati membri devono concentrarsi sull'implementazione delle regole già in vigore. La prima norma pan-europea sulla sicurezza informatica, la direttiva sulla sicurezza in rete e nei sistemi informativi (NIS) è stata approvata nel luglio 2016, ma la CE lo scorso mese ha presentato una proposta di legge che rafforzerebbe ulteriormente la sicurezza in rete.
