I membri del Parlamento Europeo hanno discusso e approvato varie mozioni sui diritti umani durante l'assemblea plenaria di oggi, giovedì 5 ottobre. Gli europarlamentari hanno approvato tutte e tre le mozioni: la condanna alla "diffusa discriminazione e persecuzione" degli albini in Africa; la condanna della sentenza contro due leader tatari e un giornalista in Crimea; la richiesta all'UE di sanzionare "chi viola i diritti umani" nelle Maldive. I parlamentari hanno anche condannato le condizioni inumane e degradanti nelle carceri degli stati membri, in particolare la Romania.
