La Polonia ha approvato una legge che limita l'accesso alla contraccezione d'emergenza e questo avrà un "impatto catastrofico sulle conseguenze degli stupri", secondo un'associazione per la tutela dei diritti umani. Il 23 giugno il presidente Andrzej Duda ha approvato la legge che vieta l'accesso senza prescrizione alla pillola del giorno dopo. Il disegno di legge, andato avanti speditamente in Parlamento, entrerà in vigore il prossimo mese. Amnesty International Polonia ha criticato questo ennesimo attacco ai diritti delle donne e teme soprattutto per le ragazze e le donne delle aree rurali.
