I sostenitori della cultura della cannabis si sono ritrovati a Vilnius il 20 aprile per celebrare il Cannabis Culture Day 2017. Centinaia di attivisti si sono riuniti di fronte al Parlamento per sollecitare i politici a rivedere le politiche proibizioniste e legalizzare l'uso della cannabis. Secondo gli organizzatori dell'evento, un approccio meno restrittivo verso la cannabis aiuterebbe a ridurre il numero dei reati, consentirebbe di utilizzare nuovi tipi di terapie, aumenterebbe le entrate dello stato e creerebbe un ambiente più sicuro.
