Il 23 febbraio la Corte di Appello di Trento ha riconosciuto i gemelli nati in Canada da procreazione assistita come figli di due padri italiani. Tale riconoscimento, basato su aspetti emotivi anziché biologici e genetici, rappresenta un grande passo in avanti per le coppie omosessuali in Italia. Come ha scritto uno dei due padri su Twitter, "Una pagina storica per i diritti delle "famiglie arcobaleno". Quando un figlio lo cresci, lo curi, lo ami: allora sei padre, madre, genitore."
