Il disegno di legge, che consente alle assicurazioni sanitarie di accedere ai file medici senza il consenso dei pazienti, viola il diritto alla privacy (Articolo 8 della CEDU), è quanto si legge nel parere firmato dai legali del VvAA, la più grande organizzazione di tutela in ambito sanitario olandese. Il VvAA ha inviato una lettera ai membri del Senato, che discuteranno il disegno l'8 novembre. La legge consentirebbe ai fornitori di servizi sanitari di condividere i file dei pazienti - senza il loro consenso - con le assicurazioni. Con essa si vuole combattere le frodi nel sistema sanitario.
